It is so crazy to think that this week is Thanksgiving week!

This year has completely flown by WAY too fast!

I can remember writing out New Years resolutions (although for me it’s more along the lines of “goals” to strive for) but now we are writing out Christmas lists and putting holiday parties on the calendar!

I don’t know about you. But by now, my menu is all set for Thanksgiving. Sure there may be the occasional last minute add in from “the bench” but all my “starters” are ready to go. Do you like how I tried to give a football analogy there with food… bahaha… that’s my weird sense of humor coming out, just go with it, k!

Ok, enough about Thanksgiving recipes. I have already moved on to Christmas and all things cookies.

Ahem… that is my way of telling you – be prepared for sweets, treats, and all things dessert over the next couple weeks. Oh, and the occasionally appetizers or main course. 🙂

After all, Christmas is all about the holiday cookies right!

Easy Chocolate Dessert Idea For Christmas

On a side note, you may notice the picture above has a little person hand in the photo. My little man has a radar for chocolate, kinda like his momma. He can smell it as soon as I open the bag! I will turn around in the kitchen to start making something and there he is, on his stool, ready to help and ready to snack!

I made this Salted Pistachio Chocolate Bark during his nap time but ended up photographing them after he woke up. As soon as I pulled them out of the refrigerator I heard, “Mommy what is that? What are you doing? Can I have some?” I decided to reward him for his patience and helpfulness during the photo shoo with a piece of bark! And he was grabbing a piece I had to snap a photo of his cute little chubby hands, just to show you what my life looks like behind the lens!

How To Make Chocolate Bark

Anything with chocolate in it is a winner in my book, and around this time of year you’ll see that Ghiradelli has different Holiday Bark concoctions all over the place. But I wanted to show you it is just as easy to make your own at home – this bark recipe has only 3 ingredients and literally takes about 5 minutes to make.

But the best part is you can add whatever toppings your little heart desires. Change it up to pomegranate seeds, peppermint, or swirl it with peanut butter!

Today I decided to top this Chocolate Bark with course sea salt and raw unsalted pistachio for a little crunch. The flavors are simple but so satisfying, the chocolate just melts in your mouth!

Even as I type this my husband is going up for his 4th serving of bark just TODAY! Believe me, the salty sweet combo is addicting!

This Salted Pistachio Chocolate Bark needs to be on your list of sweets to make this holiday season. I guarantee it will be a hit! Bon Appetite my friends!
