Do you need a quick and free idea for practicing spelling words this week? Introducing…Ghost Spelling! It's really easy…each student needs a white crayon and washable markers. Simply write the spelling word with white crayon and then (get ready for some excitement) rub the marker over top of the white crayon and the “Ghost Spelling” words appear! Pure magic in 2nd grade! 🙂 Every year that I have done this one, I get “ooooh's” and “aaaaahhhh's” in unison! They love this! Have a great rest of your week!

I've done this exact same thing before and occasionally will let them get out their paints and paint over the white crayon instead of using markers. Totally motivating! They love it!
